The Shio Shio no Mi is a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to control, manipulate, and create salt. Shio is the Japanese word for salt.
The main strength of the fruit like many others of its type is the ability to shift into the element to completely avoid taking damage. The user is also capable of hardening parts of their body into halite, including making blades out of it.
There are very few weaknesses to the fruit that can be exploited, but the user does have an innate vulnerability to water similar to Crocodile's Suna Suna no Mi. If the user is made wet, they can possibly dissolve. In addition, while hard, the user is probably more fragile than they would be if they were in their regular human form, as halite is a fairly soft mineral. Animals such as horses and deer seem attracted to the user and will start licking them at random for the delicious salty goodness. Other than that, the user suffers from the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
The user can shift into salt to avoid attacks and harden parts of their body into sharp halite. However, the main use of the fruit is to work in conjunction with any weapons the user has that are capable of drawing blood, as being able to rub a metric buttload of salt into an open wound is very helpful advantage in a fight. This includes using an aforementioned halite blade to cut the opponent and then immediately turn it to salt to spill a handful of salt into the wound. When the user uses haki to strengthen their potency of their influence of the fruit they can manipulate the salt water of the ocean to their will although this causes a massive strain to them when doing so.
