The Tatou Tatou no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows its user to materialize their tattoos and use their properties, making its user a Tattoo Human (タトゥー人間 Tatou Ningen).
It was eaten by Bhems.
Appearance[]
The Tatou Tatou no Mi is an ink-black fruit with the swirl pattern typical of Devil Fruits embedded all over it.
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
The main strengh of the fruit is that the user gains the ability to materialize the essence of their tattoos into solid objects, living creatures or energy. This effect not only applies to the tattoos already present at the time of consumption of the Devil's Fruit, but also to any new tattoo the user would get in the future.
The materialized tattoos have the properties and abilities of whatever they represent, but retain their inky aspect. Furthermore, any tattoo on the user's body will gain its own will and personnality according to its design.
The power of this Devil's Fruit potentially allows a great variety of effects, which makes it extremely versatile.
One of the fruit's weaknesses is that if a materialized tattoo gets damaged or destroyed, so will the design it came from, consequently decreasing the tattoo's efficiency or negating it until a tattoo artist can fix it.
Another weakness is the inky aspect of the materialized tattoos, which makes them easily distinguishable from the real-life objects they depict, thus making it clear that they are a manifestation of a Devil Fruit's power. This prevents the user from using their tattoos to deceive people, such as paying purchases with fake money materialized from a tattoo. However, a materialized food tattoo would be edible (although eating it would damage its design).
The tattoos' personnalities and free wills may also represent a challenge to the user, since they can act on their own accords and cause trouble for the user. Even if the user were to ask a tattoo artist to modify one of their tattoos, it would only be possible if the tattoo itself agreed with being modified, since an unwilling tattoo would simply keep moving from body part to body part to avoid the artist's needle.
Other than that, the user is still affected by the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
